1: getting in touch
you should use the handy dandy contact form.
my email address isn't on the site as I begrudge dealing with spam...

2: linking
feel free to link [but don't feel free to leech].
please make sure your link is accurate: many don't!

if it's not accurate I may guess and redirect it to where I think you wanted to go... and if I can't figure that out I will just do something random :)

3: dud links
if you've found a link that doesn't work on the site, you don't have to let me know.
the site is programmed to notify me so I'll know as soon as it happens.

4: display problems
the site is tested on both OS X and Windows and should look ok.
on the other hand if you are using an obsolete browser the site will probably look like crap.
if this is the case then sorry, but this won't ever be fixed: the problems are probably due to your browser's interpretation of things.

5: using images
photos in the photo galleries are licensed for use under a creative commons license.
they are not in the public domain. click on the creative commons image to determine exactly what these licensing terms are and under what conditions you may use my images.

6: buying prints
at the moment it is not possible to order photo prints: i am however looking into it.

7: stock photos
images on the site are not, as a general rule, generally available for stock use.
but if you feel a great need for something, it never hurts to ask.
that being said, ask nicely...!

8: the site name
the name has nothing to do with deer, with John Deere (maker of expensive yuppie lawnmowers) or any other animal type thing. Dere Street is the Roman road that ran North from York to Edinburgh. as dere-street is located in Edinburgh, it seems appropriate.

9: privacy
no personally identifiably information is collected by this site.
